Our Story
Photography is much more than images on paper. Photography is about Visual Communication, the artistic visual representation of brief moments in time, each captured for and in its essence. This is true for any type of photography, no matter what subject or purpose. In today's world, images speak the strongest language, and it is a Universal one!
Marian Kraus Photography's approach differs from others thanks to a rare combination of professional background and personal outlook. Pursuing his passion, photography, is the confluence of these two fundamental facets of Marian Kraus's life. With 20+ years of executive experience at an international conglomerate, Kraus has a keen awareness of the essentials of corporate dynamics and success.
Since 1999, after departing hic corporate career, his commercial photography services have encompassed the architectural, advertising, corporate and editorial markets. His images have appeared in numerous periodicals as well as DuPage County's book, Economic Powerhouse. Kraus was selected by the City of Naperville for its 175 Birthday Photo Exhibit "Mirror Image" and his clients include Crate & Barrel, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. / ORI, Graycor, Inc., Chicago Double Decker Co., Erdman Company, Bovis Lend Lease, Inc., Mc Kesson Pharmaceuticals, RMK, Truefitt & Hill N.A. and many others.
Marian Kraus's fine art photography has been exhibited nationally and internationally and can be found in a growing number of private, corporate and institutional art collections.
Part of his story is that when Jennifer Adams, a licensed massage therapist and yoga instructor (http://livingyoganaperville.com/instructors.html) and he met in the fall of 2000, it quickly became clear that many of their aspirations, beliefs, viewpoints and goals were very similar. In their own words:
"Ever since we opened our gallery space, now known to many as “L’Artiste2” in downtown Naperville, IL outside of Chicago in July of 2002, we have been creating a space for Inspiration, Contemplation and Healing through Photography, Art, Yoga and Massage Therapy. Our environment was meant to awaken, cultivate, inspire and support the creative and spiritual aspects of life. We are truly grateful for having had the opportunity to live one of our dreams as it was our hope to share part of Life's magic with you. After having tended and cultivated the physical space for over 6 years, we recognized in the fall of 2008 that it was time to move on in our evolution.
While depicting visuals of our previous physical space on this page we hope to be extending its energy and feel onto the World Wide Web for you.”.
